Misty Croslin is currently serving a 25-year prison sentence for a first-time, non-violent drug offense since the age of 18. Today, she is 29, having served 10 years. Being a victim of corporate propaganda from the likes of Nancy Grace, looking to capitalize on the unrelated Casey Anthony case, a large portion of her life has been stolen. Misty's case highlights the utter failure of the drug war, and the criminal justice system, and how it disproportionately affects poor and working-class people. I wrote this track to highlight her story and in hopes of bringing much-needed attention.
