Jay Poppa is an elementary educator and an active member of the Bridgeport Educators Association - the union that represents Bridgeport teachers.
Jay is also an organizer with Connecticut Workers Crisis Response and the Bridgeport branch of Central Connecticut Democratic Socialists of America.
In this program, Jay discusses efforts by Bridgeport educators to organize against racism and police violence, and he examines the issue of schools re-opening during the pandemic.
