Mai Malkawi is a journalist and social justice activist living in Fairfield, Connecticut. She’s a mother of three and a volunteer with local organizations. She also reads a monthly story to children in both Arabic and English as part of the bilingual Storytime Project at the Bridgeport Public Library.
During the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which we are entering the third week of, there are Ramadan Storytime events happening at the Bridgeport Public Library, and Mai is one of the lead organizers behind them.
The Eid Storytime Event will take place at 6:30pm on May 4 at the downtown Bridgeport Public Library (925 Broad Street).
