Description

Time to tune in to the "New Haven Mavens Radio Hour"- The Mavens, Todd Lyon, and Nancy Shea, have been pondering some questions about various fabrics, materials and processes used in production of clothing, and their relative environmental impacts. We decided to check in with some experts to see what they have to say about the "Slow Fashion" movement. We'll be chatting with Tracy Bonosconi, owner of eco-friendly clothing boutique, The Lovet Shop, and Sage Calamari, owner of BedStraw, a design studio that provides sustainable textiles for the home. The Mavens will also be bringing back a quiz segment of the show to "test" public perception. We'll see how well our in-studio "contestant," Christina Maria does with some questions on the subject. Be sure to tune in to WPKN, 89.5-FM, or live stream at wpkn.org, Monday, February 6th, at Noon. Or you download a podcast of the show, and listen whenever, and wherever you please.
