John Lennon had a way of taking simple lyrics and giving them a meaning so much more than just the words themselves. The reciprocal nature of this song, with reversing the words show that true love is a give and take. The piano intro and closing have a haunting feel to them. This is a redo of an earlier version I did. I hope I did it some justice.
