Description

Ramon Tapia has been killing it with dancefloor shaking EP’s coming out left and right on Octopus, Elevate, his own Say What and now Gem Records. Both cuts on the Yellow Screen EP are peak time techno A-sides. Strong support from Adam Beyer, Alan Fitzpatrick, Karotte, Pan-Pot.

The Belgian based artist has championed a variety of genres, all tied together by the irresistible funk that keeps his audience in a hypnotic state of movement. Yellow Screen EP consists of the title track which combines a Born Slippy style kick drum echo with rattling highs and an eerie main synth line. AA-side Exposure features a nasty saw tooth theme over a relentless rolling techno banger with Beyer and Cox written all over it. Hitting all stores on April 19.

With Gem Records set to release EPs by Egbert, Transcode, VNTM and Christopher Kah over the next few months, these are heady times for a label that continues to be rewarded for its consistent and innovative approach to contemporary electronic music.
