Aidan Lang, Seattle Opera's General Director, has always been a Handel devotee, and was delighted to find that Speight Jenkins had programmed Handel's "Semele" for Lang's first season. In this new podcast Lang explains the plot, whets appetites to hear our singers take on this fantastic music, and explains Handel's style of operas with metaphors ranging from eating an orange to playing a game of chess.
