Gabriela Lena Frank’s new opera, EL ÚLTIMO SUEÑO DI FRIDA Y DIEGO, features mezzo soprano Daniela Mack as the painter, summoned back from death by her lonely widower Diego Rivera. In Act One, Frida is reluctant to return: “For me the world was torture: wounds, anguish, wires, thorns, needles, the pain…agony!
