Singular - Hard Hitting Machine (CZ)
Daniel Espina aka Singular debuts on CZ with the fantastic Hard Hitting Machine. Daniel got interested in electronic music through friends when they started listening to the more underground sound of dance music. After some time as a listener he decided to become a DJ and producer and started working using different aliases until now when he has decided to start over with this new project Singular. His main focus will be on dancefloor oriented Techno tracks with an open mind on the melodic goodness of progressive and deep sounds. Great to have this guy on the roster and no doubt we'll see more in the future.
The Original Mix of Hard Hitting Machine takes us on a journey deep into the techno abyss with a monstrously pumping kick drum and a slicing hi hat on the intro. The kicks pack a punch and leave a nice subby trail in its wake with a little help from a deep rumbling bass. Percussions start to form up alongside an almost retro sounding synth that works beautifully in the groove. On the break a gritty synth line enters the fray to take the track to the next level. Top notch stuff for sure that will not disappoint the tougher minded crowds.
Spanish DJ and producer Angel Avalos debuts on CZ with a remix of Hard Hitting Machine. Angel is establishing himself as a skilled artist with a profound take on music. He's been around electronic music for a long time and learned to DJ at just 14. After successfully mastering other genres he moved into the underground sounds of techno and ambient, focusing on the rhythms and melodies as well as club orientated and experimental grooves. He's released on Abstract Series already and from here we can see just how good he is. Here the remix goes dark with a murky, moody techno slice filled with abyss level basses and a pounding chunky kick drum. Various percussions keep the rhythm flowing as a raw, intense vibe is nurtured. On the break a tough syncopated synth line comes through raising the energy levels as dark pads lurk before we're thrust back into the main groove in this aptly named 'hard hitting' slice. Not to be missed.
Good Man intros with a solid banging beat made up of chunky, edgy kick drums and a sharp slicing hi hats. In the background we find some surreal sounds floating around that generate a thrilling atmosphere. A short break reveals a cool vocal before an excellent electronica synth line takes over that morphs and mutates into an all out frenzied groove. Very nice stuff indeed.
Soon In The Club sets out with a punchy kick drum and bright crispy hi hat combo alongside a deep throbbing bassline that dominates the sound perfectly. Cool percussions join in and the rhythm is let loose as that low end sub bass gets into every nook and cranny of the groove. Contrastingly bright, melodic synth notes reside in the higher frequencies while a mid level chord structure is formed. The break reveals a sultry vocal before the main track bursts back into life taking us for a hell of a ride. A must have track no doubt.
