1 Samuel 2: 1 - 10. What’s God like? What’s his character? In Hannah’s prayer, Hannah gives thanks to the Lord for the birth of a savior, Samuel. She give thanks for the salvation of Israel and herself. In her prayer, God’s character is powerfully displayed, and Hannah reminds us of three aspects of it. She reminds us that God is incomparable, He does things in an upside-down fashion and He judges. It’s a powerful, yet somber reminder of one truth: God is great, yet he will judge the world.
