Philippians 3: 10 – 16. The Christian road can be rocky. There are times where we feel week, battered and bruised from the journey and can feel like it’s impossible to press on. In Philippians 3, Paul encourages Christians to not give in. He pushes us to not be burdened by shame, to not fall prey to temptation and to not fail at the sight of suffering.
We can too often look behind and let our past sin weigh us down. We can let temptation distract us and suffering can turn us into people we don’t want to be. In this sermon, Martin Morrison uses Paul’s words to motivate us. Like a marathon runner in the last 100 meters, we need to run hard and pick ourselves up when we fall.
