Matthew 13:10 - 23. What is your response when you hear God’s word? Do you hate immediately? Do you hear it and get excited about it, without actually investigating it? Or do you love the Lord, but spend so much time in the world that he appears distant to you? Do you wonder why you don’t see change in your life? It may surprise you that Jesus already knew that people like you would exist in the world.
In this passage Jesus tells the story of the sower, which is himself, dispensing the word to different people like seeds falling on different soils. Ultimately, we all will have different reactions to God’s word, with three of the reactions being wrong and only one of them right. Have a listen to this message, for it not only shows us how we should respond, but it shows us how others might respond to us as we share God’s word with others.
