1 Peter 2: 1 - 10. This week, we continue looking at our DNA. Part of our DNA is that we are family. 1 Peter 2:1 – 10 gives us insight into the specifics of what being family means for us.
Firstly, it means that we have genuine concern and love for other members of the church family. We get to experience sweet relationship and fellowship with others who love the Lord. Secondly, it means that Christians themselves are the temple of God. We are the living blocks that make up the church. What matters is the people, not the building. The building itself is not spiritual. It also, thirdly, means that we are God’s people. We are marked out by Christ that we might declare his excellencies. Praise God for the joy of being part of his family.
