Today marks the 100th anniversary since Saka Nankana Sahib.
Saka Nanaka Sahib was a significant turning point in our Sikh Itihaas (history); this event was a part of a movement to run Gurdwaras based on the principles of Sikhi, lead and governed by Sikhs. Many Sikhs, whilst peacefully protesting, attained shaheedi (martyrdom). This only empowered the Panth (Sikh community) further to fight against British oppression towards Sikhs.
This video gives an overview of the events that took place on the day.
