For July 2020 Mastering Negotiations. In business, it’s very easy to become focused on wanting exactly what we want. We’ve brought our team together to collaborate on an idea, we’ve done some initial investigation of options and strategies, and now we hit the execution phase - time to go make stuff happen. We reach out to vendors and suppliers to pull together the resources we need, in the timeframe we want, but we begin to encounter some challenges - the timing won’t work, the preferred methodologies are not supported by specific vendors, or the vendors begin to insert their “expertise” into our plan and things begin to get bogged down.
