DANK101 comes to us in fine style with a two-track musical journey from Blicka. The Atlanta based producer is no stranger to Dank ‘N’ Dirty with various appearances on the 4/20 compilations & his collaboration album with fellow label alumni Khromi but Hearts Chant / Interplay marks the first solo release for the producer.
Blicka opens the release with ‘Hearts Chant’. A fusion of late 00’s Deep Dubstep & Genesis character platformer game soundtracks, the track oozes nostalgia you never knew you had. ‘Interplay’ encapsulates the merge of jazz, broken beat garage & vibey half-step with wordy vocal samples, polyrhythmic drums with Rhodes and synth licks, a track destined for the club & your headphones.
