When Nicolas Kim Coppola decided to take up acting, he thought to himself, “I want my performances to pull people in, and trap them in the moment. I want them to be imprisoned by my virtuosity.”
And in a moment of pure brilliance he chose a surname that would let the world know that they would all be held captive in the light of his onscreen majesty. This is how the world came to know Nicolas Cage. At least that’s probably how it happened.
Whether you love him or hate him, there is no doubt that Nicolas Cage’s performances can leave a lasting impression. His crazy eyes, spastic movements, and penchant for epic freakouts can sometimes feel out of place in certain roles, but this week we discuss two movies where we couldn’t get enough of all of the above.
We grabbed some White Noise Imperial White IPA, a collaboration between Perrin and Cigar City Brewing Companies, and discussed two brand new genre flicks starring the Rage Cage.
