Episode 126 - Should I Stay Or Should I Go?
Oof. The Salem Witch Trials, amirite? Not exactly the proudest moment in American history. People would hunt “witches”, and the criteria for what made you a witch was pretty broad. You’re a married woman with no children? WITCH!!! You’re a middle-aged woman? WITCH!!! You're a woman with spoiled milk in your home? WITCH!!! You’re a..... woman? Definitely a WITCH!!!
Like we said, not exactly a shining moment in history. These trials were so ridiculous that the term “witch hunt” is used these days when someone is trying to prove something without having any evidence.
That’s where this episode comes into play. We went on a bit of a witch hunt of our own this week. We set out to watch and discuss two films that we toootally thought were about witches, and they toootally weren’t, but we grabbed some Witch’s Hat Train Hopper IPA anyway, and put these two flicks on trial.
