Episode 191 - Drink-In and Drive-In

For most of us the drive-in theater is a symbol of a bygone era. We see them featured in old movies and tv shows. We hear our parents tell stories of going on drive-in dates in their classic cars. In fact, there are even conflicting reports on whether James was conceived in the back of a Chevy LUV truck at the drive-in, or in a garage during his sisters second birthday.
Not only is the drive-in theater an important fixture in the annals of Americana, but more importantly, it is the perfect place for people to get properly acquainted with horror. Experiencing a horror film in the open air, on a summer night, is an experience that is hard to top, so fortunately for us, some of these relics have been maintained over the years, and may even be making a bit of a comeback.
This week, we packed a cooler full of Beck’s Pilsner, hopped in the car, and spent a night at our local drive-in. Join us as we discuss the two new flicks we watched. Cheers!!
