Episode 196 - Hardcore Dancing In The Grindhouse Theater
If you had a time machine, what year would you visit? Where would you go? What would you do? Would you go back and watch the moon landing? Maybe, check out Ancient Rome? Perhaps you would go back and watch the Beatles play at the height of Beatlemania. Not us though. We know we’re going. Back to the 1970’s, to the seedy, sleazy, probably sticky grindhouse theaters you might find in Time Square, on Hollywood Boulevard, and down Market Street, because we’re gross like that. Unfortunately, we don’t have a time machine, but we do have the next best thing. Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez. Ok, maybe not the next best thing to a time machine, but for our purposes, sure.
This week we grabbed some Shiner Bock from Spoetzl Brewery, and took a trip back to 2007, where Tarantino and Rodriguez were waiting to whisk us away to the hay day of the Grindhouse. Cheers!
