Episode 236 - Getting Toasty!
Round One. Fight.
This week the nostalgia flows through our veins like white-hot lightning, because in the landscape of pure awesomeness that is 90's video game film adaptations, one series reigns supreme on the blood-soaked fields of Kombat. From the cutting edge fight choreography, and state-of-the-art green screen technology, to the stunning CGI, and cornball white dudes playing ancient asian elder gods, it's really hard to classify these films as anything less than a flawless victory of 90's cinema.
That's right, this week we spent a long weekend in Outworld for a look at the Mortal Kombat films. We got so caught up in the 90's goodness of the first two, that we had to stretch this one into a two-parter. So, grab some Scorpion Bowl IPA from Stone Brewing, start a fire, and get TOASTYYYY!!!
