Episode 296 - Getting Cranberry Sauced
Thanksgiving was always a stressful holiday, growing up. Mom was always worried something would happen to her fine China. The centerpiece of the entire set, and her prized possession, was this gravy boat that was shaped like a cow, and the gravy came out of the cow’s mouth, so it looked like it was blowing chunks all over your mashed potatoes. She once looked us dead in the eye and said that there was nothing in the world that she loved as much as that gravy boat. A pretty messed up thing to say to a couple three years old. Well, one year our cousins were over for Thanksgiving, and Todd…. Or was it Terry… it doesn’t matter, smashed the cow with an over-cooked turkey leg, then smeared gravy all over our hands to make it look like we did it. To make a long story short, Mom hasn’t talked to us in twenty years, but we still dedicate our Thanksgiving show to her every year, in hopes that she will hear it and forgive us.
