The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Ōtone. "Slice (Go Hiyama Remix)" comes off the new release, Sliced Remixed, forthcoming on YGAM. Originally released as part of Catartsis & Ōtone’s “Mechanical Gesture” split EP in 2020 on Obscuur Records and reissued as a 12” record in 2021, Ōtone’s “Slice” has since been summoned into the sets and ears of a myriad of DJs and dancers. Now, the track gets a much welcome remix treatment resulting in an eclectic gathering of breakbeat, techno, and hyperpop chimaeras through which recordings of cutting engines swirl anew thanks to the craft of Sister Zo, Go Hiyama, Lara David, Yogg, Neve, and Catartsis. Today we premiere the heavy hitting Go Hiyama remix.
