Pharaohs founder Ale Cohen is a humble but constantly charged figure within the Los Angeles music community. His band Languis was a vital part of experimental sound circles and Pharaohs have helped shape LA’s cosmic dance music sound with releases on 100% Silk, ESP Institute, Intercoastal Artists and Vinyls on Wax Records Limited. It was Pharaohs band member Suzanne Kraft, who dubbed Cohen’s recording studio Cafe Ale due to its plentiful coffee. “Subir es lo Mejor” premiered during Cohen’s appearance on RBMA Radio anchor Frosty’s weekly LAndscape program. The title translates to ‘Going Up is the Best.’ We couldn’t agree more with this positive trajectory.
