Dominican born and bred, Jorge Read has proven himself as a force to be reckoned with behind the boards, again and again. Ever since he graduated from the Red Bull Music Academy in 2010, we've kept a close eye on his productions as @Cohoba, his work with @n6el as Botanico, his rap project @whitesttainoalive and a string of other releases from his very own @Stereoptico label. This spring, Cohoba returns with a brand new 4-track EP entitled Chromatism.
"I Just", taken from the upcoming release, sees Cohoba flip a Beyoncé sample into a crisp club-stomper, letting his snares lash out all over a simple, effective synth drone. Between this tune and the recently surfaced "Know 1" video, this Chromatism EP is starting to sound like a definite keeper.
