RBMA alum Distal returns with the latest manifestation of his Anarchostar project - an ambitious multimedia undertaking that combines music, videos, animations, illustrations and graphic novel storytelling. In Chapter 4, which encompasses Distal’s ‘Psychomagic’ EP, the Anarchostar goes full-on dystopian as “the most corruptible, vile and nihilistic groups left on the planet” seize control of all the land and resources. The EP’s opening track, “Psychomagic In An Adobe Home”, however strikes a more buoyant note, as expansive synth chords coalesce with vigorous vocal chops and hyper-charged drum sequences.
