If you know anything about Distal, you’re probably well aware that he’s a sci-fi obsessive with a knack for cheeky low-end stompers. The 2013 Academy alumnus hit the home run in 2014 with his incredibly ambitious graphic novel / album ‘Retrograde Space Opera,’ which also kickstarted his very own Anarchostar imprint.
“The Big Gheti Star,” which we’re happy to premiere here, ranks on the playful end of the Atlanta producer’s arsenal of club weaponry. Inspired by the large planet monster from Dragon Ball Z, the track zooms and zaps through a warped technicolor universe, seeming to gather destructive force as it readies itself for the ultimate combat move.
