Late in 2016, Brooklyn’s infamous and sadly departed Dope Jams record store released the first part of an open-ended compilation series capturing the sound of the shop. ‘Dope Jams NYC Vol. 1: 2005-2012’ is now available as a super-deluxe 3-LP set, featuring extensive liner notes and photos – but to mark the release of our RBMA Daily feature on Dope Jams and the shop’s second life in a tiny town in upstate New York, we’re streaming it in its entirety. Tune in for just over an hour and a half of impeccable dance music, from classic house to edgy techno, plus a handful of cuts produced by the shop’s extended family.
