Greek RBMA alumna Giganta returns with an eclectic, neon-lit 4-track EP on the Black Athena label. ‘Giga Streets’ charts territory we haven’t previously heard her explore on releases for Actress’s Werk Discs label or Ánthrōpos Mēkhané, blasting loopy vocal chops and skittering synth blips into a swirling, amorphous stratosphere.
EP opener “So XD”, which we’re excited to premiere here, finds Giganta applying her galactic formula to a Technicolor club stormer. Its towering synth pads recall Jam City’s “How We Relate to the Body”, but the track’s off-kilter rhythm, paired with driving hoover effects and an oblique vocal sample lend it a unique, intriguing character.
