It was back in 2011 that LA producer Groundislava released his self-titled debut album, and though he's thoroughly expanded his sonic palette since then, there's no denying the enduring appeal of his synth-filled, video game-influenced early work. On January 26, however, we can all revisit those sounds when the Friends of Friends label releases 'Groundislava II,' the long lost sequel to his first LP. Ahead of that, we debuted the 8-bit bliss of "A Year Away (Lovely Melodies)" on Red Bull Radio's First Floor, our weekly look at what's new in electronic music.
