Manchester-based producer Henzo is about to release his debut EP on Super Kitchen, the Bristol-to-London operation that’s responsible for some of the most creative and colourful club tunes on the UK scene lately. The Missed Flights EP is a self-contained journey, from its mood-setting opener with sampled phone calls about a missing DJ, through grungy dembow, 8-bit quirks and acid-fried electro. The title track brings a certain urban melancholy in the vein of Mr. Mitch and vintage Warp Records, but Henzo's drums and rhythms place him firmly in the present. Watch out for Missed Flights on Super Kitchen on February 15.
