Swedish producer and RBMA alumni ModVo combines influences ranging from Herbie Hancock and Mahavishnu Orchestra to J Dilla and Weather Report. His latest missive, “Seda”, from his ‘Fashion Renders Vol. 1’ EP, hints at these inspirations while also pointing to more contemporary references like Kaytranada or early Toro y Moi. The track reflects ModVo’s aspirations to make something that “works perfect in the club as well as on the bus.”
