Since releasing his debut EP on Diplo's Mad Decent back in 2008, @mumdance has been consistently building a reputation as one of the most eclectic and talented producers in the game. But 2014 was a particularly big year for the Hackney resident. He got into the Red Bull Music Academy in Tokyo, released one of the underground anthems of the year (the Novelist-featuring 'Take Time'), signed to the prestigious XL Recordings label, and earned his place firmly at the forefront of the new wave of grime- and jungle-inspired club music currently dominating the scene. This minimalist monster is another testament to his production powers, channeling the radicalism of second-generation Detroit techno, the raw energy of early 8-bar, and the inventiveness of golden-age IDM.
