After many years of honing his craft as producer of spiritually-inclined, jazz-facing house, Poland's Naphta is finally gearing up for the release of his full-length debut. The 2011 Academy alum will drop '7th Expedition' on choice imprint Transatlantyk in March.
"Arrival/Contraptions/Ancient Perils" is taken from the record's A-side and features Marek Pedziwiatr on flute and vox organ. Its amorphous, serpentine shape is a great example of Naphta's understated brilliance as a producer. Over the course of close to 8 minutes, the vibrant house tune goes through many incarnations that all blend in with each other effortlessly and seem to open a Pandora's box of psychedelic dreams.
Naphta's '7th Expedition' album is out March 14th on Transatlantyk. Pre-order it here:
