Inspired by African cosmology, the mysteries of psychoacoustics and the trance-inducing possibilities of repetition, 7 Directions is a richly conceptual but also profoundly personal record. With 7 Directions, set for release on UIQ on January 18, she offers her most stark and streamlined sound to date. On 'II', the second of the titular seven directions, she settles into a deep trance, guided only by slivers of breath and rattling percussion.
