We always love it when bonds that are formed at a Red Bull Music Academy carry on way beyond the initial 2-week program. So it is with a nice, big smile on our face that we can premiere this musical meeting of @pickapiper and @carrotgreen, who crossed paths at RBMA New York in 2013.
As a precursor to the release of @caribouband drummer Pick A Piper's remix album on @abandonbuilding, Carrot Green's take is deeply infectious, moulding the original's layered flourishes into a colorful dancefloor sureshot. The Brazilian producer is in great company on the album, as other artists featured include not only Caribou, but also Vessels, Grown Folk, Ruby Suns, Teen Daze, and Junior Boys' Jeremy Greenspan, among others. Make sure you pick this one up when it drops on April 7th - especially since all proceeds will be going straight to the Steve Reid Foundation.
