The fifth and final installment of Swiss label Argent Sale’s La Collection S01 series features 2016 Academy participant Shake It Maschine collaborating with fellow Swiss producer Mr. Pigman under the SIMPIG moniker. Ahead of the official release date on October 21st, today the duo drop “”Z3R0GR41TY,” a clattering slab of asthmatic footwork.
“Z3R0GR41TY” follows on from SIMPIG’s Strangers LP from 2015, rushing past 160 BPM yet staying spacious and welcoming despite the speed. The melody is an unpredictable escalator, suddenly switching directions over a playful vocal sample and slashes of hyperactive sounds before taking a cosmic turn in the closing minutes, warping each element underneath eerie accents and an increasingly cloudy low-end.
