Hidden Waves, a Melbourne-based electronic label run by RBMA alumni Andy Donnelly AKA Kloke, returns with a fifth addition to their increasingly impressive catalogue. Smax, a fellow graduate of the 2013 Academy in New York, delivers his first full-length with ‘Tome,’ a self-described “psychedelic collage.” The album’s opening track, “Hiero,” evokes sense impressions similar to bright lights piercing through a dense fog – wrapping its listener up in a warm mist of bristling and crackling.
