With his Argentine-flavored take on Eurocentric club sounds, @theperonists brought a unique outlook to the 2013 Red Bull Music Academy. Now with a new EP for boundary-pushing @terrornegroperu imprint in the starting blocks, we're happy to premiere one of the record's most forceful statements.
"Inka Techno" does what it says on the cover. Clamorously percolating synth lines weave in and out of each other like heavy duty silk threads, punctuated by traces of ritualistic vocals and rave-y stabs. Its round, vigorous kick seems to bellow from deep beneath the rubble, creating an effective fusion of the Ancient and the Modern.
