"Music designed to make you feel good" is the tagline of Birmingham duo Verschieden, comprised of Matthew Parnell and 2015 Red Bull Music Academy alum Corey K, and their latest cut "Amazing" lives up to the promise. Built around an elusive vocoded vocal just intelligible enough to keep you listening for more lyrical details, the track is an understated party jam featuring a burbling synth melody bright enough to melt snow from the sidewalks. A funky breakdown brings lush background vocals to the forefront, and an interplay of synthetic and natural percussion creates a memorable groove reflecting Corey K's ongoing work and talent as a session drummer.
