Paraíso, the name of José Acid AKA Shcuro’s new label, can be understood as an ode to Portugal’s lost and sometimes forgotten rave paradise. Paraíso’s inaugural release, ‘Genesis Vol. 1,’ features music from a new generation of Portuguese dance music producers indebted to this legacy. “Eternal Fountain” is a forceful, adrenaline-fuelled contribution to the sampler by RBMA alumni Violet, who is also the host of the Lisbon edition of Scenery, RBMA Radio’s exploration of local music communities across the globe.
‘Genesis Vol. 1’ is out December 16th via Paraíso.
