Set in 1951, a blacklisted educator (Patrick Dempsey) escapes to a small town in the South to help train a gifted young black gymnast (Quvenzhané Wallis) who has aspirations for the Olympics. Tensions rise when town locals, led by a charismatic Mel Gibson, begin harassing the girl's family - setting fire to her home and injuring her in the process. When Patrick Dempsey must team up with the girl's father (Samuel L. Jackson) to seek vengeance, will the truth about his past come back to haunt him? Awards season has officially begun and Mr. Hollywood seeks Oscar gold for Lee Daniels' film "An Uncomfortable Truth".
