Description

The mind is rising high
and the sun sets
and the moon comes flying by
From around and
always from behind
where you think you stand
Looking out, or up across, or sideways
and ever with this hint of doubt
Of not knowing, wondering
Bounded to the ground
By common sense alone
But what would happen
if the thought on its own
Would let you fly high
Leave behind
all who are buying
All that say
they’re definitely not lying

What I would give, if you just once took a sniff
Of the stench you leave behind
Always unsure, wether you hide or abide
Nothing I would want to make mine
Mimes, spending dimes, singing hymns
That sound so loud, but say too little
for one to be proud
I might drop out, write you a letter
Describing my endeavor
Ever and ever, I stand still
Get ill, from watching those
Dodging truth, those that never walk aloof

The spoof’s under my roof
Telling me that I know more
than one could ever do,
feeling misunderstood
leads me across, to foreign seas
That I didn’t wanna see
But he, he thinks I do
He thinks he has to go there for you
To make you richer
only makes life appear passing quicker
Slick, but boring, when only you hear snoring
Of all who need rest
But are always made to show their best
those that try to please, ease themselves
You come later, if they remember
That you got feelings too,
feelings, through which I’d hoped
to get to you
