Judging from his initial eagerness to be interviewed, there was nothing to suggest beforehand that this conversation with John would've gone so horribly awry.
Turns out John was not too happy with my "style", and suggested that I was "gaslighting" and a "snake".
I've decided to share unusual situation with others so that (1) people can be aware that not every conversation goes smoothly and (2) to not get discouraged and move on to someone else.
Mistakes:
One hour prior to this talk I had both of my eyes dilated at the doctor's office—my pupils were huge. Perhaps John noticed that and saw it as me "staring". I did have sunglasses with me but don't like wearing them when talking with people. Maybe I should have made an exception and worn them this day.
