Dr. Brené Brown’s 2018 book “Dare to Lead: Brave work. Tough conversations. Whole hearts” highlights two of her most prominent topics; namely, courage and vulnerability. From a recovery ministry perspective, this book can be interpreted as a treatise on faith (i.e. dare to lead), sanctification (i.e. brave work), confession (i.e. tough conversations), and restoration (i.e. whole hearts). This leadership challenge is essentially an exhortation for leaders to extend grace and truth resulting in restored hearts and productivity.
