A mapping of the ruined structure of 12 Century Ard Fhearta cathedral, Co Kerry, into sound using OM, and scored for Dord (Bronze Age horn), sampled 9th century christian bell, and wind ensemble. Commissioned in 2001 by the Office of Public Works and Dúchas, the Irish Heritage Authority. WARNING: very meditative music - there are very few melodic moments, just the bare vertical structure of a piece, as the ruin is the bare structure of what was once a great cathedral, the first Irish effort at indigenous Gothic architecture...
