A piece I wrote for solo percussion using texts from death-row inmate Norman (Rashad) Parker, who played drums in his free-life. The percussionist (Jonni Axelsson in this performance) is in a cell which measures 1.8 by 2.7 metres (the size of a death-row cell) built of percussion instruments, all of which he plays during the course of the performance.
