Today, I am broadcasting some interviews that were done on site at Voices of Community Activists and Leaders Kentucky. We will hear from Maurice, Carl and Raquel in this show. As I began the editing process for this, most of what I said just got scratched. My questions served to prompt dialogue sometimes but mostly highlighted my ignorance about the obstacles this community faces. The important thing is that these conversations serve to humanize a population that has been shuffled around, neglected, criminalized, and used as political pawns. I hope when you hear them share their stories, you will be reminded of their humanity and that they matter as much as you do. I hope you will listen to the entire series on harm reduction from VOCALKentucky as we learn how to be a part of this community
