On this week’s edition of Sustainability Now!, your host, Justin Mog, parks his bike for a chat with some members of the Complete Streets for Louisville Coalition (http://completestreetsforlou.org). The studio was full with guests including:
1. Shannon Smith, KY Government Relations Director, American Heart Association (https://www.heart.org/en/affiliates/kentucky/louisville);
2. Emilee McCubbins, undergraduate intern with Kentucky Youth Advocates (http://kyyouth.org); and
3. David James, Louisville Metro Council Chairman representing District 6 just southwest of downtown, which is the council district that saw the 2nd highest number of pedestrian & bicycle crashes (411) in 2010-17. He's the sponsor of the forthcoming ordinance to update and amend Louisville's 2008 Complete Streets Policy.
