On this post-Earth Day edition of Sustainability Now!, your host Justin Mog, comes in off the trail to sit down with the delightful Dan Pascucci, Family and Youth Programming Manager at the 15,625 acre Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest in Clermont in Bullitt County, KY. He leads field trips and organizes programs for kids and families. Dan came to Bernheim in 2016 after serving up in Alaska as the Education Specialist at the Kenai Watershed Forum, planting the conservation seed for many as future stewards of our lands. During our conversation, we talk about Bernheim, its scope and size, some of Bernheim’s programs, and why Bernheim’s land conservation is important. More broadly, we also talk about how to reconnect people to nature; what environmental education can look like; and using music to educate! Listen in as Dan performs for us some of his original and hilarious environmental-themed music.
